In my ongoing quest to waste as little as possible the asparagus season throws up an interesting way to use asparagus ends that aren’t really useable for anything other than a stock. Neutral-ish spirits like vodka are great for infusing things and will take on the flavour much better than a strong heavy spirit, hence why gin takes on the botanical flavours - especially the juniper.
